We focus on creating lasting, positive changes in the areas that matter most and are the most underserved. Our efforts are centered on uplifting the next generation and strengthening the community we call home.

Driven by compassion, teamwork, and a love for service, the Liberty County Kiwanis Club works year-round to ensure that every child has the opportunity to thrive, and every resident feels the impact of a community that cares.

Our Mission

Our mission is to improve and enrich the lives of all children in Liberty County, with a dedicated focus on those who are most underserved. We recognize the unique challenges faced by children with physical, mental, cognitive, learning, or sensory differences, as well as those experiencing environmental or socioeconomic barriers.

The Liberty County Kiwanis Club is committed to creating a more inclusive, supportive, and empowering community where every child—regardless of ability or circumstance—has access to opportunities that foster growth, confidence, and success. Through service, advocacy, partnerships, and compassion, we strive to ensure that every child in Liberty County is seen, supported, and given the chance to thrive.

Our ongoing initiative:

To provide handicapped-accessible equipment in all Liberty County Parks.

Kiwanis Club of Liberty County’s goal is to bring inclusive playgrounds to Liberty County. We strongly believe that every child has the right to play. It is vital to children’s development and a key factor in how they come to understand the world around them. This endeavor is a long-term goal and project. People like you are helping to make this dream a reality.

The Liberty County Kiwanis Club recently officially entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Hinesville to support the development of a fully inclusive playground designed for children of all abilities within our community.

This partnership represents a major step forward in addressing the underserved population of neurodiverse children and those with physical, cognitive, sensory, or environmental challenges in Liberty County. The planned playground will feature ADA-compliant equipment, a rubberized wheelchair-friendly surface, and thoughtfully designed play structures that ensure every child—regardless of ability—can play, explore, and thrive.

As part of the agreement, the Liberty County Kiwanis Club has committed to contributing $70,000 toward the project, enabling the City of Hinesville to leverage additional funding and move this long-awaited initiative closer to reality. This collaborative effort reflects both organizations’ shared mission to create safe, accessible, and enriching spaces for families across Liberty County.

“This playground represents more than equipment—it represents inclusion, dignity, and opportunity,” said representatives of the Liberty County Kiwanis Club. “We are honored to partner with the City of Hinesville in bringing this essential resource to the children and families who need it most.”

City officials echoed the excitement, noting the significant community impact and the importance of investing in spaces that serve all children.

Construction planning is now underway, and additional project updates will be shared as they become available. The Liberty County Kiwanis Club invites community members, businesses, and supporters to join in this important mission as the project moves forward.
